Where to Start

5 10 2009

Starting a painting project is very overwhelming, especially when its not your job.

You may have questions like:

What paint (brand) should I use?

Do I want to use low/NO VOC paint?

What supplies do I really need?

Is there anything to make the job easier?

How do I paint? Is there a special technique?

Do I need to prime?

How many coats of paint do I need to apply to the wall?

What sheen do I want? (flat, eggshell, satin, semigloss)

There are all these questions to get through, but the hardest part is still picking out the colors.

In the next few posts I am going to answer these questions to help you with the basics. Then we can get started with colors!
